Antigua and Barbuda’s Prime Minister Gaston Browne was among CARICOM heads of government, who planted a Time Capsule in Chaguaramas; the venue of the historic signing of the treaty.

Browne is currently attending the 45th Regular Meeting of CARICOM which ends on Wednesday

A year of celebrations is also being launched to mark the 50th Anniversary of the founding of the regional grouping.

Residents of the twin island nation are also enjoying a one-off holiday today after Cabinet approved the decision last week Wednesday,

While many may use today as one of fun and frolic, Browne said its purpose “is intended to allow for reflection and examination, for assessment and for future guidance”.

Antigua and Barbuda joins Grenada and St Kitts and Nevis in having the holiday

    Good move.
If God’s Guidance is requested in support of the CARICOM Union, as the nations prosper, so too will this tree.
If at anytime this tree shows signs of withering, it will be an indication that some negative force is amiss.
