Health of AUA accident students remains critical

The health condition of the two AUA students who were involved in a hit-and-run on Friars Hill Road on Saturday night remains critical.

Kenneth Mathew, 21, and his 19-year-old female companion Priyanjana Das is still in the Intensive Care Unit at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center

According to reports, the couple was attempting to cross the streets in the vicinity of Billy’s Food Mart just after 2; am when the accident occurred.

The accident is said to have occurred as the pair attempted to cross the road in the vicinity of Billy’s Food Mart shortly after 2 am on Sunday.

They are reportedly still on ventilators after major surgeries.

The driver turned himself into the police hours after the accident and is expected to be charged soon.
