ABLP to launch political campaign on December 19th.

The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party will launch its political campaign on December 19, according to Prime Minister Gaston Browne.

Browne made the announcement during an address at the V.C Bird Bust moments ago.

It is largely believed that PM Browne will announce the date of the elections at that event.

“We are literally a few months away from the constitutionally due date of general elections. I know many of you are getting anxious for me to call elections and you can assure elections are imminent but we must commence our campaign in earnest”

“On Monday, December 19th, at 7.pm we will be launching our campaign. And today on this V.C Bird Day, I know that Sir Vere would want me to encourage all of our supporters and well-wishers to gird their loins and join the battle to understand that we must come out like a mighty army to defend the interest of this country,”

Browne said further that the late Sir Vere Bird also want “me to say to you that you must go into every street, community…and to spread the good news of Labour…that you must defend this country with all your might, all your heart, your blood, your sweat, your tears”

The ABLP leader also promised to put on an intense political campaign.

“Come out on Monday as we send a firm message to the UPP, those losers, laggers, and charlatans who are seeking to destroy this country. Unlike this fluttering campaign, that has fluttered for the last 17 months, we shall campaign with intensity and we shall make sure when I announce the day of elections that it is 17-none”

PM Browne said he will select a team of competent people to serve in the Senate.
