Antiguans and Barbudans will be paying less for gasoline and diesel from Monday; news that will surely be welcomed by motorists on the island.
The government is passing on savings to consumers, which will see a reduction in gasoline from the current $15:54 to $13:99 per gallon.
The new cost of diesel will be $14.25 per gallon down from $16.79.
Based on these prices, the consumption taxes are now approximately $3.28 per gallon for gasoline and $1.48 for diesel.
The government has informed the West Indies Oil Company (WIOC) about the adjustments.
