Vandalized billboards could be re-purposed

17 December 2022 - 16:10

Information Minister Melford Nicholas says vandalized billboards may be re-purposed if necessary. But it would depend on the owners of these billboards.

Nicholas was asked in Parliament whether the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party would replace the billboards that were vandalized recently.

“If at the end of the day it’s necessary for them to continue with that messaging they may decide to replace the original message that was defaced, or they may determine to repurpose the use of the billboards for other messages,” he said

All political parties have been expressing disgust and disappointment over the acts of vandalism and the defacing of several political billboards.

Both the ABLP and the United Progressive Party are victims of such acts and both parties have been accusing the other of defacing their property.
