Indira Ampiot has been crowned the new Miss France.

The 18-year-old communications student received the judges’ nod last evening while competing against 29 other women at the M.A.CH 36 in Châteauroux, Centre-Val de Loire.

The Basse-Terre beauty succeeds Véronique De La Cruz (1993), Corinne Coman (2003) and Clémence Bottino (2020) as the fourth Guadeloupean to become Miss France.

Ampiot has the opportunity to represent France at both the 2023 editions Miss World and Miss Universe.

Miss Martinique, Axelle René, placed third runner-up to Miss France this year. (Loop News)
