Police officers told to stay focused this election season

Lawmen in Antigua and Barbuda have been admonished by the country’s top cop to remain focused, ahead of this election season.

On January 18th, eligible residents will vote in a much anticipated general election.

Police Commissioner Atlee Rodney said over the next few weeks will be very important for officers where delivery of duties is concerned.

“My fellow officers, you are called upon in the next few weeks to perform our largest security operation as we prepare to police a general election. I call upon all of us to respond with a commitment to perform our duties and demonstrate our respect to the democratic system,” he said.

He also called on his team to remain in good health and to provide the best security.
