PM to sue fabricators of US$4 Billion-dollar accusation

Prime Minister Gaston Browne says a number of people both here and abroad will be subjected to legal action following what he said have been moves to tarnish his character and defame him.

A video has been circulating on social media, showing what appears to be crates of properly stacked cash in US currencies supported by documents that include the prime minister’s name, AG Steadroy Benjamin, and others.

The allegations are that the money, US$4 Billion was dumped on Antigua and Barbuda by the recent Antigua Airways chartered flight.

But Browne told Antigua.news that the allegations were fabricated.

“I am researching them and will sue them too, along with those whom they work for. It’s a figment of the imagination of the evil purveyors,” Browne said.

Browne said he also intends to take legal action against a specific group of people who are linked together and who are circulating the video and documents as well.
