Fundraiser planned for Sonja

A fundraiser has been organized for Sonja Henry, a mother of one from Bolans who had her both legs and pelvis crushed after she was run over by a truck at an ABLP motorcade leading up to the general elections.

Sonja has reportedly undergone two surgeries and is expecting a third.

Relatives and friends have organized an all-day event to assist her financially. Sonja is currently a patient at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center, recovering after the tragic incident.

The fundraising is carded for February 26th at the Bolands Playing Field, an all-day activity including breakfast, lunch, and a football match.

The 25-year-old said her doctors were confident that she would be able to walk again but it will take some time as she will have to undergo physiotherapy.
