Beyonce made history last night, breaking records at the 2023 Grammy Awards, for the most Grammys won by an artist.
With her 32nd win—for Best Dance/Electronic Album for Renaissance—Beyoncé took over the record, which she had previously tied earlier the same night.
Queen Bey was emotional and even paused as the crowd gave her the standing ovation she deserves!
“Thank you so much. I’m trying not to be too emotional and I’m trying to just receive this night. I wanna thank God for protecting me. Thank you, God. I’d like to thank my Uncle Johnny, who is not here but he’s here in spirit. I’d like to thank my parents—my father, my mother—for loving me and pushing me,” she said. “I’d like to thank my beautiful husband, my beautiful three children who are at home watching. God bless you! Thank you so much to the Grammys! Thank you!”
Beyoncé still has a chance to take her record even further as she is still up for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year at the 2023 Grammys.
With 88 total nominations under her belt, she has also tied with her husband Jay-Z for the most grammy nominations of all time.
