Two buildings in Ottos gutted by fire

Two buildings were gutted by fire on Sunday in Ottos Newtown

Inspector Bagot, the Public Relations Officer of the Fire Department said today Monday that they received a call at around 12:56 p.m that a house was on fire.

“An immediate response was made in the #10 and#15 fire tenders. On arrival at the scene the fire crew met two buildings fully engulfed in fire. Water was used for the fire tenders to control and extinguish the fire,” he said

Bagot said both buildings were owned by Enercida Lewis, the first building measured 50×8 feet was occupied by Enercida Lewis, Jose Lewis and Romeo Valentine it was completely destroyed by the fire along with its contents with included important documents.

The second building measured 21×18 feet and was occupied by Keyanna Benjamin and Rosa Webbe it was also completely destroyed along with its contents.

The origin of the fire is under investigation.
