Police are now investigating a daring daylight robbery in St John’s, as a businessman was targeted after leaving a bank.
Initial reports are the business operator had just withdrawn a large sum of cash at a bank in Woods and was heading to his vehicle, when men pounced on him.
They made off with the cash and made their escape in a waiting vehicle. The businessman reportedly opened fire, but the men escaped.
