Seedling distribution underway

22 May 2023 - 17:11

The first day of the seedling distribution by the Extension Division in the Ministry of Agriculture and the Backyard Gardening Unit got underway at the Green Castle today.

Eggplants, sweet pepper, and beet seedlings were distrusted.

The public is being urged to mature the seedlings and nurture them, as the country is taking “a ramped-up approach towards food nutrition and security”

Residents are also encouraged to reach out to the technicians within the division about the seedlings or if they require assistance.

The Ministry of Agriculture continues to encourage persons to “GROW LOCAL, BUY LOCAL, AND EAT LOCAL.”

The seedlings are being distributed at two locations which are the Extension Division which is in the old PDO Building located opposite King George V Playing Field and at the Green Castle Agricultural Station in Bendals.
