Dexter Scotland of Willikies being taken to His Majesty’s Prison

​The man who allegedly killed Jahfari Isaac has been remanded to prison.

Dexter Scotland of Willikies appeared before the All Saints Magistrates Court this morning.

Scotland, who appeared in court for the first time did not submit a plea as he had not yet secured the services of an attorney.

He was remanded until September 6. This week he was arrested and charged by police for allegedly shooting Issac multiple times in Willikies.

Scotland surrendered himself to the police on Monday, after a wanted bulletin was issued days before.

Isaac was shot In the side, head, thigh, and scrotum at a bar in Willikies on the night of June 4.

Issac died in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre (SLBMC), before succumbing to his wounds in the wee hours of Tuesday morning.

Issac was married with one child. His murder is the second homicide for the year.

The Police Administration in a release had commended the general public for their  assistance during the invesigation, and also encouraged greater support and partnership with the police.

The administration also commended the hard work of the investigators involved in the case.
