Twenty-three-year-old Shane Grant was remanded to His Majesty’s Prison having been recently arrested and charged for larceny.
On Tuesday, police arrested him in connection with a report of larceny.
In two separate incidents on Tuesday, July 11, two females reported that they were assaulted by a man, who stole several items of value and monies from them.
In the first incident, a woman reported that she was walking along Upper Church Street, when a man allegedly robbed her of her handbag containing several valuable items and an undisclosed sum of money. The incident occurred around 5:20 am.
Meanwhile, a woman reported she was sitting on Independence Drive around 6:40 am, when a man grabbed her handbag and ran towards the car park.
Several of the items were recovered by the police during their investigation.
Grant entered a plea of not guilty today in court for one larceny charge and was sent to prison until his trial on September 5.
