Tourism Minister Charles Fernandez
This week, Tourism Minister Charles Fernandez will lead a delegation to India for discussions with top officials.
The focus of the talks will be on increasing the number of visitors from Delhi to Antigua and Barbuda, as well as exploring investment opportunities.
Fernandez stated that the business forum will take place over several days, with one meeting being held with India’s Minister of Tourism.
He also mentioned that the Indian government is funding the trip, and hopes that it will benefit Antigua and Barbuda. Last year, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his commitment to strengthening ties with the twin island state.
He outlined various sectors for collaboration, including infrastructure, healthcare, education, renewable energy, and small and medium-sized enterprises.
India is also providing training to Antigua and Barbuda citizens to enhance local skills.
