Antigua and Barbuda Cops Bronze Medal at Commonwealth Youth Games

Antiguan athlete, LaNica Locker, has made history by winning a bronze medal in the Women’s 200m at the 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games held in Trinidad and Tobago.

She completed the race in just 23.56s, marking the first time a female athlete from Antigua and Barbuda has won a medal at this event.

Additionally, she secured the only medal for Antigua and Barbuda at the 2023 games.

Nigerian athletes, Faith Okwose and Justina Eyakpobeyan, claimed the gold and silver medals respectively with times of 23.36s and 23.47s.

The Antigua and Barbuda Athletic Association congratulated Locker on her historic achievement and urged the nation to celebrate her success.
