The Antigua and Barbuda National Cadet Corps (ABNCC) received a generous donation of $75,000 from the Halo Foundation.

The purpose of the funds is to acquire new musical instruments for the marching band of the organization.

The cheque was presented at Government House on Thursday morning by Her Excellency Lady Williams to Colonel Telbert Benjamin, Chief of Defence Staff (centre), and Major Samuel Roberts, Commandant of the ABNCC.

Lady Williams expressed her commitment to supporting youth, culture, and the arts, as well as other areas of the Halo Foundation’s focus.

Currently, the ABNCC has 162 cadets registered, with an additional 200 cadets expected to join soon.

The ABNCC has recently appointed Their Excellencies Sir Rodney and Lady Williams as its Patrons.
