The Cooks Extension community now has a brand-new playground to bring the children endless fun and excitement.
Located in the Eldeana R. Martin Recreational Community Park, the playground has state-of-the-art play structures, slides, and interactive games, providing a safe and stimulating environment that encourages physical activity and imaginative play.
This collaborative effort between J. Pinder Finance and Development, Bonnie Floyd Ministries with support from One Desk, and Fire Phoenix Foundation aimed to enhance the quality of life for the community’s children while fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie among its residents.
Their vision was to create a space that provides recreational opportunities and promotes inclusivity and community engagement.
Pinder Finance and Development generously donated 6 Acres of land to create the Eldeana R. Martin Recreational Community Park, recognizing the need for such a facility and their commitment to community development and investment in Cooks Extension.
Through its partnership with One Desk, Bonnie Floyd Ministries lent its expertise to funding the playground purchase and mobilized a team of volunteers from abroad to construct it.
Fire Phoenix Foundation offered on-the-ground logistical support and funding to cover the local costs associated with the playground’s completion.
The playground’s grand opening was celebrated with a lively event attended by community members, local leaders, and representatives from J. Pinder Finance and Development, Bonnie Floyd Ministries, One Desk, and Fire Phoenix Foundation.
The event featured engaging activities and entertainment for all attendees and concluded with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
This collaborative effort provided Cooks Extension with much-needed recreational space and brought the community together, fostering a sense of pride and ownership.
