On Sunday afternoon, a LIAT flight from Antigua bound for St. Vincent had to return to the VC Bird airport only 30 minutes into the flight.
Flight LI311 was redirected back to Antigua after approaching the northern tip of Dominica, as revealed by the flight tracker. The aircraft’s air conditioning system reportedly malfunctioned, according to sources from Antigua.
The air conditioning system plays a crucial role in providing fresh air and regulating temperature in the passenger cabin and flight compartment.
The flight was rescheduled, and arrive in St. Vincent at 8 pm, according to the latest flight information.
