Disciplinary proceedings begin against Chief Magistrate Joanne Walsh

According to a source, disciplinary proceedings have begun against Chief Magistrate Joanne Walsh.

In a recent development, a high court judge ruled against an injunction filed by Chief Magistrate Joanne Walsh.

The injunction was part of her response to the disciplinary charges brought against her, with Walsh seeking injunctive relief while simultaneously pursuing a constitutional claim against the Judicial and Legal Services Commission.

Walsh argued that her constitutional rights were violated, and she was denied natural justice throughout the disciplinary process.

Despite efforts by her legal team, consisting of Kenny Kentish, Wendel Robinson, and Leon ‘Chaku’ Symister, the injunction was unsuccessful.

Following the court decision, it is reported that disciplinary proceedings against Walsh have commenced.

These actions came after she received at least 10 disciplinary charges on July 12th, which ultimately led to her suspension by the commission on July 20th. The specific nature of the charges remains undisclosed at this time.
