Philippe continues to dillydally near the area, which is expected to continue until Sunday.
Then, the best available data continue to indicate that Philippe will steer right, to the north, away from the Caribbean. An alert remains in effect; no watches or warnings are required, and none may ever be required for this system. Keep a close eye on the forecast turn for Sunday.

Here in St. Croix, Phillippe hit us on Tuesday late evening , with lots of rain, wind gusts to about 30 m. p. h. , and tons of thunder and lightening.
It is Wednesday afternoon now. Power went since last night and at 4 pm. It is totally overcast. Looks like sunset. Still a few showers, and still thunder and lightening.
I’m camping out at home.
