
Ambassador Dario Item at Rotary Club Antigua
During an official visit to the Rotary Club of Antigua, Ambassador Dr. Dario Item of Antigua and Barbuda promised to establish stronger ties with the organization.
Dr. Item, who has been involved in numerous nonprofit and charitable organizations, was one of the platinum sponsors of the Rotary Club of Antigua’s annual Colours Fet event.
He has also made significant contributions to the tourism industry of Antigua and Barbuda and the European Caucus of Ambassadors and Honorary Consuls.
Dr. Dario Item is a highly accomplished lawyer who specializes in criminal law, banking and financial market law, and diplomatic and consular law in Europe.
He attended the University of Geneva (Switzerland) and the Universities of Parma, Ferrara, Teramo and Genoa (Italy). Dr. Item has both a Law degree and a Political Science degree, an LL.M in International Financial Crimes, a Master in Trust law and in Legal psychology and psychopathology of criminal conducts and a PhD in Criminal Law. He has been admitted to the Swiss Bar in 1998 and was also a Notary Public until 2015.
Furthermore, Dr. Item is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), an international professional association that specializes in trust, inheritance, and succession planning.
Dr. Item has been serving as the Ambassador of Antigua and Barbuda to Spain, the Principality of Monaco, and the Principality of Liechtenstein since 2019. He is head of mission at the Embassy of Antigua and Barbuda in Madrid and permanent representative of Antigua and Barbuda to the UN World Tourism Organization.
During his visit to the Rotary Club of Antigua, Dr. Item was welcomed by the Executive of the club, who expressed their gratitude for his financial contribution and future relationship with the organization.
