Tammy threatens Lesser Antilles, Guadeloupe placed on Hurricane Watch

19 October 2023 - 12:19

As of 11 am, Tammy was located approximately 467 miles southeast of Antigua, with wind speeds of 60 mph while moving west-northwest at 15 mph.

According to our latest update, there is a 77% chance of storm winds for Barbuda and a 64% chance for Antigua.

Additionally, there’s a 12% chance of hurricane winds for Barbuda and a 1% chance for Antigua.

A TS watch is still in effect for both islands, but we’re actively considering upgrading it to a TS warning and a Hurricane watch later in the day.

Storm conditions are most likely to begin on Friday evening and could last for up to 10 hours.

In the worst-case scenario, hurricane winds could potentially occur for a couple of hours.
