ABLP St George Branch supports Benjamin’s Knighthood

The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) St George Branch and TeamDeanJonas have jointly called on the National Honour and Awards Committee to proceed with the nomination of Steadroy “Cutie” Benjamin for a knighthood.

The organizations have affirmed that Benjamin is a highly deserving candidate for this prestigious honour in recognition of his exceptional and longstanding service to the nation.

According to the statement, Benjamin is a man of wisdom, honour, and courage who has spent his entire life defending the rights and interests of the people of Antigua and Barbuda.

He is an accomplished lawyer, a visionary leader, and a patriot, who has served the ABLP in various capacities, including as the party’s general secretary, deputy leader, and chairman.

The Branch has highlighted Benjamin’s instrumental role in promoting national unity, social development, economic growth, and regional integration, which aligns with the ABLP’s agenda.

Benjamin has made significant contributions to various sectors of society, such as justice, security, labour, and education, and has been an effective and responsive representative of his constituents in St. John City South.

Over his 30-year tenure as a representative, Benjamin has worked tirelessly to improve the living conditions in his area.

The organizations have urged all Antiguans and Barbudans to celebrate their Independence Day with pride and patriotism, and to honour those who have served the nation with distinction and excellence.

They believe that Benjamin is a deserving recipient of the national honour, as he embodies the best of their nation.
