16 years later Tizzi receives her 2007 Independence Award
Yesterday was marked with an exceptional event, where Ms. Tanzania Sebastian-Hector was awarded the insignia and certificate of honour, much to her deserving accomplishment.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Governor General Sir Rodney Williams, the Chancellor of Chancery of the Orders and Decorations of Antigua and Barbuda – Mrs. Paula Frederick-Hunte, and the Secretary-General – Mrs. Natasha Messiah.
The investiture ceremony was held to bestow the recognition that Sebastian deserved as a cultural icon.
She was appointed as a Member of the Most Precious Order of Princely Heritage on November 1, 2007, and this ceremony was a tribute to her contributions to society.
The event was a true celebration of her accomplishments and a reminder of how important it is to recognize and appreciate cultural icons like Tanzania Sebastian-Hector
