Gaston Browne, the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda has arrived in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday to attend a Caricom Summit with the Gulf state.
The summit, scheduled on Thursday, will primarily focus on areas of cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the 15-member regional bloc.
The summit will be graced by the presence of Crown Prince Mohamed Bin Salman, and it is being perceived as another significant event for the increasingly influential and outward-facing Saudi Arabia.
The delegation from Antigua and Barbuda, led by Prime Minister Browne, includes Hon. Maria Browne, the Works Minister, and Senator Dwayne George, the Junior Finance Minister.
Other Caricom Heads of State and Government, along with their respective delegations, also traveled on the flight, which departed Antigua on Tuesday afternoon with a stop in Barbados.
The flight carried leaders from St Lucia, Grenada, St Kitts and Nevis, Barbados, Guyana, and Suriname.
Moreover, another flight carrying delegations from Jamaica, The Bahamas, Belize, and Haiti has also landed.
