Caribbean Airlines Limited announced on November 22nd, 2023 that it had begun discussions with the Trinidad and Tobago Airline Pilots Association (TTALPA) regarding the collective agreement for pilots from September 1, 2015, to August 31, 2018.

Despite their best efforts, the negotiations did not result in a mutually agreeable resolution.

Therefore, Caribbean Airlines Limited has decided to invoke the procedures stipulated in the Industrial Relations Act and report the matter to the Minister of Labour.

In an attempt to prevent pilots from taking any industrial action, the Industrial Court granted an injunction against TTALPA on August 20, 2023.

However, Caribbean Airlines Limited remains dedicated to maintaining a constructive and transparent dialogue with TTALPA, and they are hopeful that the involvement of the Minister of Labour will expedite a prompt resolution.
