It was a nail-biting finish at the grand finale of the Taste of Wadadli Junior Chef Cook Off Competition, but St. Joseph’s Academy emerged as the ultimate champions with a whopping 244 points!
The team’s outstanding performance not only earned them the coveted title but also a grand prize of EC$10,000 to enhance SJA’s Home Economics facilities.
But that’s not all, they also secured the opportunity to represent Team Antigua and Barbuda at the prestigious Taste of the Caribbean event in Miami in 2024.
Antigua State College and Seventh Day Adventist School put up a tough fight, but they had to settle for second and third place respectively with scores of 222 and 199 points. Sir McChesney George Secondary from Barbuda also gave a commendable performance with a score of 173.
It was truly a remarkable event that showcased the culinary talents of the young chefs of Antigua and Barbuda.
