Prime Minister Gaston Browne helped early Saturday to unveil a mural at the V.C. Bird International Airport.
It is an effective display of this country’s solidarity with the Human Rights Council of the United Nations.
Foreign Affairs Minister Hon. E.p. Chet Greene, U.N. Resident Coordinator for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean Didier Trebucq and President of the Antigua & Barbuda Sickle Cell Association Dr. Edda Hadeed assisted with the unveiling.
The mural now hangs on the inside the Hall near the entrance of the Arrivals Lounge.
It visually celebrates the 75th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which was first enacted in 1948.
