The Passport and Citizenship Division of Antigua and Barbuda has recently made a significant announcement regarding the mandatory recall period for all Antigua and Barbuda Machine Readable Passports.
According to a Decision made by the Cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda, the deadline for this recall period has been extended indefinitely.
This decision has been taken in light of global events that have continued to impact the ability of citizens in Antigua and Barbuda and abroad to meet the previous deadline of 31 December 2023.
It is important for all citizens of Antigua and Barbuda with a Machine-Readable passport to note that their document remains valid until its expiration.
The passport office will continue to issue ePassports to new applicants and persons with expired passports. The new Antigua and Barbuda ePassport was introduced in April 2017 and is now available to all eligible citizens.
If you are interested in applying for an ePassport, application forms are available at the Passport Office, Queen Elizabeth Highway, the Antigua and Barbuda Missions in the USA, Canada and the United Kingdom or from the government’s website.
If you have any further questions or concerns, you can contact the Passport Office in Antigua and Barbuda at telephone 462-0092.
The Passport and Citizenship Division of Antigua and Barbuda would like to extend its thanks to the public for their cooperation and understanding during this time.
