A man from Villa has reported to the police that he was stabbed with a knife by his wife on Boxing Day.

The man, who is 22 years old, reported to the Criminal Investigations Department that his 23-year-old wife wounded him.

The incident occurred at around 1:25 in the morning.

Police said when they arrived at the scene, EMS personnel were attending to the victim, who had a bleeding wound to his right hand.

Police interviewed the man, who reported that he had an altercation with his wife, and she stabbed him in his right hand with a knife.

He was issued a Police Medical Form and transported to the SLBMC via the EMS.

The police also spoke to the wife, who claimed that she and her husband got into an altercation and he beat her about the body.

She further stated he pushed her to the ground on the kitchen floor, and while she was on the floor, he began to choke her and told her to go to sleep because he was going to kill her.

As a result, she used a knife and stabbed him.

The suspect was released pending further investigation and was also issued with a police Medical Form to consult the doctor.
