Health Minister Sir Molwyn Joseph has confirmed that ten cases of Dengue Fever have been reported in Antigua and Barbuda, and fortunately, there have been no fatalities.

This potentially fatal disease has been identified in various Caribbean nations, with fatalities occurring in some areas.

During a recent press conference, Health Minister Sir Molwyn Joseph urged residents to get tested for Dengue Fever at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center. He also expressed gratitude to CARPHA for their ongoing assistance in testing for the disease, not only in Antigua and Barbuda but throughout the region.

Sir Molwyn Joseph revealed that his ministry is planning to bolster its efforts to control the Ades Egypti mosquito population, which is responsible for transmitting Dengue fever.
