PM Browne sends message to “Haters” while displaying his organic tomatoes

Dear haters/detractors,

There is a difference in being productive, contributing to nation building and greedy. I am a contented human being of extremely modest consumption; with a strong commitment to contribute to nation building, without limiting my contribution to politics.

Kindly note, that my contribution to agriculture which includes financial, technical and equipment assistance to other farmers, is neither a threat to anyone, nor a conflict with my official duties as Prime Minister.

90 percent of our produce and meats are imported. For eg. we import $16M of pork annually and produce less than 1M, locally.

Increased local production is required urgently to address our country’s food security and nutritional requirements.

Any such increase in local production will displace imports, not local producers and reduce foreign exchange leakages.

Stop hating on Farmer Browne and join the fight, by planting some crops and growing some food to make our country food secured.

Agriculture needs your investment now.

There is scope and space for serious farmers to productively and profitably engage in farming.

More production; less criticism is the answer to our food insecurity.
