Prime Minister Gaston Browne says additional funds will be allocated this week to expedite the completion of the Boys’ Training School.
This move is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to address the issue of delinquent behavior among the nation’s youth, which has been a cause of widespread concern among the public.
The Boys’ Training School is a vital institution that provides young boys with the necessary skills and knowledge to become productive citizens and avoid falling into a life of crime.
Browne said additional work on the facility and the government decided to allocate extra funds to carry out the necessary repairs.
The Prime Minister has assured the public that his government is fully committed to addressing the issue of delinquent behavior among the youth and will continue to take steps to ensure that all young people have access to the resources and support they need to succeed in life.
The completion date for the repairs is approximately 60 days from now.
Meanwhile Browne has expressed his support for a suggestion that holds parents accountable for their children’s actions if they break the law.
This idea gained traction after a recent court case in the United States, where Jennifer Crumbley was held responsible for her son Ethan Crumbley’s actions. Ethan was sentenced to life in prison for the tragic killing of four of his classmates in 2021.
The Prime Minister’s decision is also influenced by an incident involving teenage boys who allegedly fired shots into the air at an event attended by students from Ottos Comprehensive School.
This incident caused panic among the students, resulting in one female student injuring her ankle while trying to escape.
In light of these events, Prime Minister Browne believes that parents should take greater responsibility for their children’s actions.
He expressed concern over reports of parents encouraging their children to bring weapons to school, instructing them to use them if they are attacked.
The Prime Minister emphasized that such behavior is inappropriate and should not be encouraged by parents.
He also believes that parents should play a more active role in guiding their children’s behavior and ensuring they make responsible choices. He emphasized that encouraging violence or illegal activities is not acceptable parental behavior.

I agree with your comment. The prime minister is not doing the job the people gave him to do. He is more focusing on himself and less on the people and country. He needs to be fired forthwith.
