Antigua waives taxes on importing electric vehicles.

The Cabinet has announced the implementation of a new policy regarding the importation of Electric Vehicles (EVs), which will take effect immediately.

Minister of Finance has been granted the authority to exempt 100% Duty and 100% Environmental Levy on the importation of EVs.

However, it is important to note that the importer will still be required to pay 100% of the ABST and 100% Revenue Recovery Charge (RRC) when importing the vehicle.
