UPP Picket Parliament, Calling for Molwyn to be Fired

The United Progressive Party has vowed to maintain the pressure on the current Gaston-led Government to dismiss the Health Minister, Sir Molwyn Joseph, who has earned the derogatory nickname “Graveyard Molwyn” due to his perceived incompetence.

Members of the United Progressive Party have staged a protest at Parliament today, continuing their demand for Sir Molwyn’s resignation.

The protesters assert that Sir Molwyn has presided over the steady decline of the healthcare system in the country, and it is time for a change in leadership.

Despite Sir Molwyn’s recent involvement in the rehabilitation work at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, he has been criticized for being uninvolved in the hospital’s affairs in the past.

He claims that the law that established the SLBMC prevented him from directly participating in the hospital’s activities.

However, the law was amended in 2021 to rectify this issue. Jonathan Joseph, a member of the United Progressive Party, has expressed skepticism about Sir Molwyn’s newfound interest in the hospital, stating that the party demands more than just lip service.

He asserts that meaningful change is required to empower medical professionals across the government to address the country’s crumbling healthcare system.
