On Sunday, February 18, a shooting incident reportedly took place in Golden Grove, where a teenager became the victim.

According to reports, a 911 operator contacted the Grays Farm Police Station to inform them about the shooting at approximately 1:10 p.m.

It is alleged that the 16-year-old victim was confronted by two young men, whom he had been with earlier that day.

These individuals, known by their aliases “Baldhead” and “Tyson,” are said to be from Golden Grove. Apparently, an argument between the teenager and the two young men escalated into a physical altercation.

During the scuffle, one of the attackers used a pair of scissors to injure the victim’s right shoulder.

Simultaneously, the other assailant allegedly brandished an orange flare gun, aimed it at the teenager, and fired a single shot.

The victim immediately felt a burning sensation on his left elbow and noticed blood flowing from the area.

Following the incident, both perpetrators fled in a western direction. The victim was then transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre by a police vehicle.

A doctor examined him and determined that the wounds appeared to be superficial.

However, the medical professional expressed doubt that the injuries sustained by the teenager matched his initial report to the police.

Subsequently, the teen received treatment and was discharged into the care of his grandmother.

Authorities conducted a search in the vicinity for spent shells but were unable to recover any.

Additionally, the police attempted to locate individuals matching the description provided by the teenager, but their search proved unsuccessful
