Dr Cleon Arthill
The United Progressive Party (UPP) has officially announced the resignation of its candidate, Dr. Cleon Athill, who was set to contest the constituency of St. Paul in the upcoming General Election on January 18, 2023.
The Party’s General Secretary confirmed that they received Dr. Athill’s letter of resignation on Friday, February 23.
According to the letter, Dr. Athill cited ideological differences as one of the reasons for her departure.
The UPP’s Leadership, on behalf of the “Redeem Team” and the St. Paul Branch, expressed their gratitude to Dr. Athill for her dedicated service to the organization and the constituency over the past four years.
They also extended their best wishes to her in all her future professional endeavors.
It is indeed unfortunate news that Dr. Athill has decided to step down as a candidate, but the UPP respects her decision.
The Party will now focus on selecting a new candidate who best represents the values and aspirations of the people in the constituency of St. Paul.

Although I am grieved to see Dr. Cleon Athill leave her Position in the UPP as well as The Party Itself ……I am Certain that THIS ACTION of Hers just might be THE Catalyst That FORCES ALL OF US TO PONDER This Question: What IS IT I TRULY DESIRE For ANU/BAR???
When We SURFACE AN ANSWER That We Can Agree With……. THEN We MUST Strategize WHAT MUST BE DONE BY THE POPULOUS To GET US THERE!!!!!
