The Rotary Club of Antigua, along with its long-term partners the Bellvue Breakfast Rotary Club and the Kirkland Downtown Rotary Club, have extended support to primary schools in Antigua and Barbuda through a collaborative effort.

The schools will be provided with a range of essential school supplies, which were donated in a presentation ceremony held at Rotary House and received by the Director of Education, Mr. Clare Browne.

The supplies donated include ink, coloured pencils, dry markers, folders, pencils, and other crucial items necessary for the education of young minds.

This initiative is a part of the Education Through Technology programme, which has been consistently running for the last 16 years.

Cordell Josiah MBE, the Local Project Coordinator and Past President of the Rotary Club of Antigua, explained that the contribution was made after discussions between the Clubs and the Ministry regarding the needs of primary school institutions in the education system.

Josiah emphasized that the programme’s objective is to focus on the overall development of education, transformation, and keeping young minds equipped and nurtured.

The donation of over $3000 US, made by the Bellvue Breakfast Club, will be utilized to furnish all primary schools in the twin island state with the necessary supplies.

Mr. Clare Browne, the Director of Education, expressed his gratitude to the Clubs for their continued interest and dedicated support towards the educational development of young minds in Antigua and Barbuda.

This partnership has had a positive impact on the education system for the past 16 years and is expected to continue contributing to the development of the nation’s youth for years to come.
