Police have arrested and charged 18-year-old Mitchy Spencer Jr. of Union Road Hatton for allegedly receiving stolen goods, following an investigation into the theft of various items from Reginald Peterson’s property.

Among the items seized were one Samsung Phone valued at $900, one iPhone valued at $1,800, and one ZTE Smartphone valued at $475, among others, totaling $16,938.15. The items included electronics, clothing, food items, medicine, cleaning items, bank cards and tools.

Spencer Jr. is scheduled to appear in court next week.

This arrest comes after Peterson, a retired teacher and former officer of the Youth Skills Development Programme, experienced youth crime more than once in a short space of time, including the recent theft of his car while delivering food to the needy on February 21.
