An incident occurred at V.C Bird International Airport where an Inter-Caribbean plane experienced an engine failure during take-off.

The engine of the ATR 45 plane reportedly caught fire shortly after take-off, prompting the pilot to turn back and make an emergency landing.

Fortunately, the pilot was able to safely land the plane back at the airport, and all passengers on board were unharmed.

It is speculated that the plane may have been en route to Barbados before the engine failure occurred.
