The St. John’s Harbour was bustling with activity on Tuesday as five magnificent cruise ships called in for a visit.
The Enchanted Princess of Princess Cruises, Costa Serena and Costa Pacifica of Costa Cruises, AIDA Perla of AIDA Cruises, and Explorer of the Seas from Royal Caribbean International all made a stop at the harbor, while the luxurious SeaDream 11 docked at the Falmouth Harbour.
The vendors, taxi drivers, and souvenir shop operators were all thrilled with the business that these visitors generated during their stay.
Even the visitors were full of praise for Antigua and Barbuda, stating that they would love to return for an extended visit.
And it’s no surprise, as Antigua Cruise Port has reported that the number of visitors to the country this year has already surpassed the figure for last year at the same time.
But that’s not all – the ACP is confident that cruise passenger arrivals this year will top the total for 2023! And if that’s not exciting enough, stay over visitor numbers this year will almost certainly surpass those for last year as well.
This year is turning out to be one of the busiest ever on the calendar of events for Antigua and Barbuda, with the Small Island Developing States 4th Conference in May, World Cup T-20 Cricket in June, Carnival in July/August, and matches in the CPL in August/September.
Get ready to experience the excitement and beauty of Antigua and Barbuda – there’s never been a better time to visit!
