Christal’s journey began in 2019 during her initial freediving training, where she discovered a passion for the sport that propelled her towards new heights.

Despite facing challenges in the beginning, she persevered and now trains diligently in Antigua whenever conditions permit.

Her sights are set on the Deep Dominica freediving competition, scheduled from July 28th to August 4th, 2024, where she hopes to achieve her dream and make history.

As Antigua and Barbuda’s first female Olympic swimmer and as part of the first all-black team to row an ocean, Christal brings a wealth of experience and resilience to aquatic sports. She is a true pioneer who is not only breaking barriers but also inspiring others to follow in her footsteps.
