22 March 2024 - 09:48

A man is currently receiving medical care at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center after three masked gunmen targeted him and another individual in Casada Gardens on Friday morning.

The incident occurred when the two men were traveling in a pick-up truck around 6 am, and the robbers used another vehicle to block their path.

The assailants then got out of their vehicle, robbed the two men at gunpoint, and stole over XCD$30,000.

Before fleeing the scene, they shot one of the victims. The injured man is currently in serious condition at the hospital, while the other victim managed to escape unharmed.

It has been reported that the two men were en route to conduct a business transaction.

The police are urging anyone with information that could assist in their investigation to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or Crimestoppers at 800-8477.
