The Cabinet has discussed the possibility of renovating an abandoned car park situated at the top of High Street and Independence Avenue.

The car park has remained an eyesore for many people who work in the city of St. John’s, as well as for visitors to the area.

Previously, funds had been allocated to create a permanent space for ABS TV/Radio/Media on the top floor of the building.

However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the funds were redirected to tackle the pandemic instead.

The Cabinet members deliberated the possibility of providing new resources to carry out the refurbishment of the building’s operating space for ABS and several private corporations. T

hese refurbished areas could serve as parking spaces for their employees and customers during work hours.
