On Monday, Sports Minister Daryll Matthew graced the official send-off of two promising cricketers.
These two students are set to embark on a journey to the prestigious Harrow School in the UK to further their studies and training.
The first student, Matthew Miller, will undergo a six-week training program at Harrow School, known for producing some of the top cricketers in England.
Meanwhile, the second student, Melique Jacobs, will attend the school for six months as part of an exchange program with Harrow Cricket Club.
To make the event more special, Minister of State Sen. Dwayne George was also present to assist with the send-off.
The Ministry of Sports has been actively seeking opportunities to provide further development for the nation’s top young athletes sportsmen and women, and this initiative is a testament to its commitment to nurturing and supporting future sports stars.
