Exciting news from the world of cricket! The ICC T20 World Cup Cricket Trophy has touched down in Antigua and Barbuda, kicking off its tour of all the territories that will host T20 Cricket matches in the upcoming international sporting event that starts on June 1.

Antigua and Barbuda was the first stop of the Trophy Tour, and the welcoming party was nothing short of spectacular.

Top government officials, cricket royalty, and representatives of Cricket West Indies and the Leeward Islands Cricket Association were all on hand to welcome the coveted trophy to the island.

Prime Minister Gaston Browne was there to welcome the Trophy to Antigua and spoke passionately about cricket’s transformative power to bring the world together at a time of worrying international conflicts.

He expressed his hope that this T20 World Cup will bring a number of nations together promote global talents, cricketing talents, and showcase the cultural vibrancy of Antigua and Barbuda.

The event promises to bring unprecedented investments in the region, a huge international viewership, and a chance for the Caribbean to showcase all that the region has to offer to the rest of the world.

With Cricket legends, Sir Andy Robert and Sir Curtly Ambrose in attendance, along with officials of CWI, the LICA, representatives of the Tourism Authority and the Ministry of Tourism, and other well-wishers, the celebrations were a true reflection of the excitement and anticipation surrounding the upcoming tournament.

Here’s to an exciting and unforgettable T20 World Cup!
