Prime Minister Gaston Browne has expressed his country’s willingness to collaborate with Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole in the areas of trade and investments.

During a courtesy visit to Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, at the Lagos House, Marina, Prime Minister Browne highlighted the importance of strengthening the relationship between Antigua and Barbuda and Nigeria, as well as the Caribbean and the rest of Africa.

He believes that Africa has vast resources, and each African country can become a developed country. He wishes to establish close linkages with Nigeria to increase trade and investment, and unite the Caribbean and Africa to bring prosperity to their people.

Governor Sanwo-Olu, who was accompanied by Lagos First Lady Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu and some members of the Lagos State Executive Council, expressed his delight in partnering with Antigua and Barbuda in entertainment, arts, culture, and technology.

The Governor stated that there are a lot of things in common between the two regions, and they can work together in the areas of culture, tourism, arts, and entertainment.

Additionally, technology is essential because it knows no boundaries, and Lagos is considered the tech hub of Africa.

The Governor believes that technology can also be a strong handshake that both regions require.

He is confident that by working together, they can quickly begin to ship between the two regions all the things they have in common and begin to see the benefits among them.
