Sir Novelle Richards Academy made history by being the first educational institution in the country to introduce Driver’s Education Classes for students aged 15 and older.

This course was developed in partnership with the Antigua and Barbuda Transport Board (ABTB).

The course began in February 2024 and is divided into two components: theory and practical.

The ABTB is responsible for delivering the theory classes, while the practical component is taught by authorized driving instructors (ADI).

The curriculum places a strong emphasis on traffic laws and road rules, vehicle knowledge, safe driving practices, and other relevant matters.

The ultimate goal is to prepare the students to obtain their Learners’ Permit and License once they have successfully completed all the requirements set by the ABTB.

The first batch of students who enrolled in the course has already received their permit and will begin their practical lessons soon.

By successfully completing the course, students will contribute to increasing the pool of responsible drivers in the country and expand their real-world skill sets.

Sir Novelle Richards Academy is committed to the holistic development of every student and expresses gratitude to the ABTB and other partner agencies for their support in making this vision a reality.

The academy strives to maintain high standards through dedication and commitment.
